Saxon basketball teams recognize faculty and staff

Prior to the women’s and men’s games against Houghton Tuesday evening, faculty and staff were presented certificates of appreciation from players who consider them mentors and who have had an influence on their success as student-athletes. A total of 27 faculty and staff were treated to a dinner prior to the women’s game.

This marks the third year the women’s team has recognized faculty and staff whom players say have positively impacted their time at Alfred University. The men’s team joined the effort to honor faculty/staff mentors this year. Each student-athlete and honoree were joined on the court by Mark Zupan, university president, as they received their certificates.
